Has 2021 been a difficult year for you? Were you made redundant, furloughed or found yourself struggling to cope with the stress brought on by the uncertainty and impact of the on going COVID-19 pandemic?
Perhaps 2021 was an unexpected life changer and now you are looking to implement more permanent changes in your life for 2022, that support a happier and healthier existence? Or maybe you are simply seeking some focused and restorative time for yourself?
Gift yourself or a loved one the opportunity to indulge in this two day in person retreat on the Kent coast, facilitated in a safe and compassionate way.
An opportunity to unwind, relax and recharge, physically, emotionally and mentally.
The retreat is facilitated with guided movement explorations and creative activities designed to support you to leave the weekend feeling recharged and equipped with practical resources to support your goals for the year ahead.

The Tamalpa New Year Retreat is a dynamic embodied experience of the Tamalpa Life Art Process, it can be used as a stand alone experience or a an introduction to the larger Tamalpa trainings.
Date: 29th – 30th January 2022
Time: Saturday 29th 10.00am – 5.00pm
Sunday 30th 10.00am – 4.30pm
Cost : £200(concession rates £165 available)
Example of a typical retreat day:
Morning session 1
10.00am – 13.30pm (includes a short break)
• Arrival and welcome
• Guided somatic movement explorations – ‘Arriving in Your Body’
• Creative drawing & writing explorations – ‘Identifying A Core Life theme’
13.30: Lunch Break – 1 hour
Afternoon session 2
14.00pm – 17.00pm (includes a short break)
• Guided movement explorations – ‘Reigniting Life Vitality’
• Introduction to a key basic Tamalpa Life Art Process tool
• Further expressive art explorations – ‘Identifying Life Resources’
• Digestive quite time
• Closing activities

What you will need:
- Oil pastels, or art materials that are easy to switch between drawing and moving.
- Note book and pen
- Layers of clothing to keep you warm between art activities
- Bottle of water
- Travel Mug

Helen-Jane Ridgeway, UKCP
Helen-Jane Ridgeway is a UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist & Supervisor, a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (specialising in working with trauma), Organisational Coach, a body worker, movement innovator and choreographer and Breath~Body~Mind Trainer.
She is a Tamalpa Movement-based Expressive Arts Therapist & Clinical and Ethics Director of Tamalpa UK.
Helen-Jane’s previous professional career in dance, performing arts, choreography and dance education, (teaching in the UK and Europe) has afforded her a special interest and unique understanding of the mind/body relationship. Throughout the UK, Europe and USA she offers embodied movement workshops and trainings, Tamalpa Life/Art Process workshops and Breath~Body~Mind trainings.
