Embodying Your Full Potential – An 8 Week Body Mythology Course

September 21, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Implementing the Tamalpa Life Art Process® for Creative Performance Practice with Laura Colomban RSMT/RSME

Embodying your full potential is an 8-week somatic creative programme dedicated to anyone interested in expanding movement vocabulary and finding creative resources for performance making, whilst connecting with the innate wisdom of their body.

The sessions will be structured and guided in order to explore different parts of our body mythology through movement, drawing, questioning and journaling. Participants will find creative resources by discovering archetypes and listening to their somatic intelligence, to unlock creative potential and expand movement possibilities beyond familiar and habitual movements.

At the end of the 8 weeks, course participants will create a self-portrait and a short solo performance based on the discovered movement and visual resources.

This is an open-level series of sessions, all are welcome.

The methodology applied will be the Tamalpa Life/Art Process® and the RSVP Cycle, conveying the legacy of Post Modern Dance Pioneer Anna Halprin and the work of the Tamalpa Institute, grounded in more than 40 years of involvement in movement research, health and community building.
