Tamalpa UK Level 1 Personal Embodiment Training

Discover the Tamalpa Life/Art Process® in this immersive Level 1 Personal Embodiment Training with Tamalpa UK.

This experiential training introduces a unique approach to embodied learning that integrates movement, creative arts, and reflective practice. Through structured modules and guided somatic movement exploration, participants engage with body-based inquiry and intermodal creative processes to deepen self-awareness and creative expression.

What You Will Study

The training curriculum includes:

  • Body Part Mapping – exploring the body as a map of lived experience, emotion, and personal narrative

  • Integrative Movement Practice – developing expressive movement, awareness, and somatic presence

  • Psychokinetic Imagery Process – combining movement, drawing, writing, and reflection to access inner imagery and insight

  • RSVP Cycles – a framework for structuring creative work, collaboration, and performance development

  • Intermodal Creative Practice – working across movement, visual art, writing, voice, and dialogue

  • Group Learning Process – collaborative exploration of relational dynamics, communication, and collective creativity

Training Experience

Across the programme, students move between individual exploration and group-based practice. Each module focuses on a specific area of the body, opening up themes related to lived experience, expression, and embodiment.

The training also includes a self-portrait performance project, where participants integrate their learning into a creative expression developed through movement, imagery, and narrative.

Who It’s For

This training is open to anyone interested in:

  • Embodiment and somatic practice

  • Creative and intermodal arts processes

  • Personal development and self-inquiry

  • Expanding movement and expressive capacity

  • Experiential and embodied learning in a group setting

No previous experience in dance or the arts is required.

Programme Overview

The Level 1 Online format is delivered through a combination of online training,  fully live and guided practice, one in person intensive weekend at the Eco Village in Scotland and tailored home study between sessions.
