ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Prior participation in a Tamalpa workshop presented by Tamalpa UK (online or in person)
Higher Education Certification, A Level, BTECH or Degree 
English proficiency **
A completed online Application Form and supporting application documents
The £175 application fee is required before application can be processed.

Enrolment Deposit & Tuition Deadline (Upon Successful Acceptance of Application):
Early bird round 1 – September 11th, 2023 Pay tuition in full and receive £650 discount off the full tuition fee, pay £4000. Pay via a payment plan and receive a £500 discount of the full tuition fee, pay £4150

Early bird round 2 – November 1st, 2023 Pay tuition in full and receive £450 discount off the full tuition fee, pay £4200. Pay via a payment plan and receive a £300 discount of the full tuition fee, pay £4350

Full Tuition Balance Deadline:
January 15, 2024 – For tuition paid in full there is a discount of £150.

Payment Plans – are available upon request.  Payment plans must be agreed and arranged by the stipulated early bird deadlines or by 15th January 2024, once early bird deadlines have passed. Full tuition via a payment plan is £4650

All payment plan breakdown to 10 x monthly instalments that are required to be paid on the 1st of each month. Contact office for further details. 

 

Application and Registration Procedure: Level 1 Trainings only.  (*For public workshops please complete registration on event listing)

Please prepare the following items for your application:

1) A completed Level 1 Online Application Form, including a physical & mental health questionnaire – Apply Here

Please email the following supporting documents to the Tamalpa UK office to complete your application process: 

2) An autobiographical essay – maximum of 4 typewritten pages.

Handwritten essays will not be accepted.  Please address the following items in your essay:

  1. Write a brief autobiography describing your background, interests and any relevant highlights of your life.
  2. Describe your current personal and professional goals.
  3. How do you want to apply the training in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process to your personal and professional life?
  4. What specific life issues or themes are you currently working with that you would like to explore within the context of the training? What professional support if any are you getting at the moment with these themes?
  5. What do you imagine your strengths and challenges to be in a group learning environment?
  6. How did you hear about Tamalpa UK?

3) Two letters of recommendation.

Please send signed copies of the letters or have your references email their letters directly to us at info@tamalpa-uk.org. Handwritten letters will not be accepted. Letters of recommendation must be from teachers, therapists, employers, or other professional relationships only. Letters from friends or family members will not be accepted.

4) A full-length picture of yourself.

Before emailing your application supporting documents to Tamalpa UK and processing your non-refundable application fee, please read our Deposit, Cancellation and Refund Policies.

Your application will be reviewed by our enrolment committee and we will respond within two weeks of the receipt of your complete application packet and application fee. If your application is approved for interview, you will receive an email to arrange a suitable interview date with two to three of the Directors of Tamalpa UK.  If you interview is successful, you will receive a letter of acceptance on to the Level 1 Personal Embodiment training followed by further logistical information.

Note to applicants 
it is required that you read Daria Halprin’s book, The Expressive Body in Life, Art and Therapy, prior to the Level 1 training programme. We strongly recommend that this book and/or a Tamalpa Experience workshop is completed before attending the programme.

Please make and keep copies of ALL records that you email, mail, or hand-deliver to Tamalpa UK, including letters of recommendation. With regards to letters of recommendation, we suggest that you request an additional copy for your own records. Tamalpa UK is not responsible for keeping your records.

$6000 Hybrid Tuition balance and $100 TAAS fee deadline August 18, 2023

LEVEL 3

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of Tamalpa Institute’s Level 1 and Level 2 Training Programme
A completed Application Form
$150 application fee.

DEADLINES:
Applications are accepted throughout the year.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed.
Tuition Balance Due within 30 days of acceptance into the program.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
*NOTE* Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all training programs are taking place online until further notice. International students who enrol in our online training programmes do not need to apply for a student visa.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY**
Students must be proficient in the English language to attend Tamalpa Training Programmes at Tamalpa UK and the Tamalpa Institute.  Tamalpa UK does not provide translation services or instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL). Class instruction will be in English. Students who do not have English as their primary language, should take a test, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and must provide a minimum score of 79 (internet-based test) or 500 (written test).

Or students can take the IELTS test, providing a minimum score of 6.5. English proficiency is required and is also assessed through the application materials received, as well as during an interview with the Programme Coordinator. If you have any questions regarding verification of English proficiency, please e-mail our Programme Coordinator.
