Full Tuition Balance Deadline:
7th September 2026 – For tuition paid in full there is a discount of £150.
Payment Plans – are available upon request. Payment plans must be agreed and arranged by the stipulated early bird deadline 30th July, once early bird deadlines have passed. Full tuition via a payment plan is £4850

2) An autobiographical essay – maximum of 4 typewritten pages.
Handwritten essays will not be accepted. Please address the following items in your essay:
- Write a brief autobiography describing your background, interests and any relevant highlights of your life.
- Describe your current personal and professional goals.
- How do you want to apply the training in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process to your personal and professional life?
- What specific life issues or themes are you currently working with that you would like to explore within the context of the training? What professional support if any are you getting at the moment with these themes?
- What do you imagine your strengths and challenges to be in a group learning environment?
- How did you hear about Tamalpa UK?
3) Two letters of recommendation.
Please send signed copies of the letters or have your references email their letters directly to us at info@tamalpa-uk.org. Handwritten letters will not be accepted. Letters of recommendation must be from teachers, therapists, employers, or other professional relationships only. Letters from friends or family members will not be accepted.
4) A full-length picture of yourself.
Before emailing your application supporting documents to Tamalpa UK and processing your non-refundable application fee, please read our Deposit, Cancellation and Refund Policies.
Your application will be reviewed by our enrolment committee and we will respond within two weeks of the receipt of your complete application packet and application fee. If your application is approved for interview, you will receive an email to arrange a suitable interview date with two to three of the Directors of Tamalpa UK. If you interview is successful, you will receive a letter of acceptance on to the Level 1 Personal Embodiment training followed by further logistical information.
Note to applicants it is required that you read Daria Halprin’s book, The Expressive Body in Life, Art and Therapy, prior to the Level 1 training programme. We strongly recommend that this book and/or a Tamalpa Experience workshop is completed before attending the programme.
Please make and keep copies of ALL records that you email, mail, or hand-deliver to Tamalpa UK, including letters of recommendation. With regards to letters of recommendation, we suggest that you request an additional copy for your own records. Tamalpa UK is not responsible for keeping your records.

LEVEL 2 - Embodied Leadership Training Part 1
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of the Tamalpa Level 1 Training Programme
Approval of an Application Packet containing the following:
1. A Completed Application Form.
2. A brief essay describing your professional interests in this work and any previous professional experience that you feel is relevant (maximum of 2 type-written pages).
3. An updated Health Survey Form.

Post-Level 2 Certification Requirement - Applied Practice (Previously known as Level 3)
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of Level 1 and Level 2 Tamalpa Training Programmes
A completed Application Form
Post-Level 2 Certification Requirements: A $350 registration fee is required to begin this phase of your certification process. Contact the main Tamalpa Institute office in California for details.
Minimum requirement of 12 supervision hours with a Tamalpa Institute approved supervisor.
• Tamalpa provides a list of approved supervisors here: https://www.tamalpa.org/wpcontent/uploads/Tamalpa-Fieldwork-Supervisors-English.pdf.
• Supervisors provide guidance through the process of finalizing your fieldwork project proposal, carrying out your fieldwork hours, and creating your final Fieldwork Project Documentation.
• Supervisor fees range from £80-£100 per hour and are paid directly to your supervisor at the time of service.
• Supervision may take place on Zoom, by phone, or in-person. In addition, feedback from supervisors on written materials may be done via email.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY**
Students must be proficient in the English language to attend Tamalpa Training Programmes at Tamalpa UK and the Tamalpa Institute. Tamalpa UK does not provide translation services or instruction in English as a Second Language (ESL). Class instruction will be in English. Students who do not have English as their primary language, should take a test, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and must provide a minimum score of 79 (internet-based test) or 500 (written test).
Or students can take the IELTS test, providing a minimum score of 6.5. English proficiency is required and is also assessed through the application materials received, as well as during an interview with the Programme Coordinator.
