“If your body could speak, what would it say?” – Daria Halprin
In these turbulent times, in which we are living, it is vital that we find ways to ground ourselves, extend our self-care & come home safely to our bodies. This can provide the needed resources to navigate some of the challenges we are facing individually & collectively.
In this Tamalpa workshop with Helen-Jane Ridegway you will learn new & subtle ways of listening to yourself, your body. Deepen your understanding of how you are moving through the world & in your life, both literally & metaphorically.
This one day workshop enlivens the dialogue between body, imagination, life experience and the creative process. Using dance, movement, drawing & poetic writing, participants tap into art’s symbolic language to explore current life themes and generate new resources.
This workshop is designed to give participants an experiential understanding of the Tamalpa work in movement-based expressive arts therapy and the Tamalpa Life/Art Process developed by dance pioneer Anna Halprin & her daughter Daria Halprin. To develop resources needed to support self-care, deepen our personal awareness, as well as provide an ongoing supportive resource in daily life.
All levels of experience are welcome!
